Cabin Amenities and Classes
Allegiant Airlines offers low-cost flights by cutting operational costs. They have limited or no in-flight amenities, although some, including in-flight meals, are available upon request for an additional fee. No seat arrangements are assigned, which means that seats are on a "first come first serve" basis. However, flights are generally comfortable. If you are into luxury traveling, Allegiant Airlines may not be ideal for you. No business or first class seats are offered, and seats have limited spaces. Unlike with many major airlines, Allegiant Airlines became popular with the cheap flights that they offer through implementing low cost operations.
Baggage Policy
Flights booked with Allegiant Airlines do not include a check-in baggage fee, which means that you can save more if you fly with less baggage or no check-in baggage at all. For those traveling with two or more bags, it is wiser to arrange to check them during your online booking. If you do it then, the first bag is charged with 15 dollars and the second bag with 25 dollars. However, if you wait to arrange to check baggage until the time of departure, Allegiant Airlines charges 25 dollars for the first bag and 35 dollars for the second bag. All additional fees will be higher for those checking in with 3 or more bags. These fees are not applicable for car seats, strollers or other mobility aids.
Overweight baggage of more than one hundred pounds will not be allowed for check-in. They will be shipped via cargo or the passenger will not be allowed for boarding. Each passenger is entitled to bring a carry-on bag and one personal item such as a purse, laptop computer or briefcase. All carry on bags should not exceed the measures of 9x14x22 (height x width x length).
